The best ammunition available is Hornady’s factory-loaded ammunition. It’s also the easiest to load! Hodgdon Superformance Rifle Bullets have been developed to give maximum weight retention and penetration in a 22-250 Remington, 243 Winchester, 300 Ruger Compact Magnum (RCM), and the 300 Winchester Short Magnum (WSM). Powder is not always the best choice for fast-traveling makeup. This powder travels faster than most traditional powders. Superformance powder is a smooth, metering spherical powder that flows freely through a powder measure.

In terms of ballistic performance, this Extreme Extruded powder is the exact copy of Hodgdon Hornady Superformance. Physically, the SC refers to a shorter grain size, therefore, the designation SC or short cut.

Shorter, more compact kernels are designed to help powders flow more smoothly through powder measures. With the smoother flow characteristics, the more uniform charge weights and denser grain orientations lead to superior flash-through.
